My Skin Story
Since I can remember I have always had a routine for my skin. Wash my face, spray something on my face, then moisturize and then put another cream to prevent redness or breakouts, then change my pillow case every night, be careful with the products used for my hair because those can also cause breakouts - you get the idea.
All those things were programmed into my mind since middle school and then some. Now as I have gotten older my skin is much better but still not "perfect" - but who does have perfect skin? In a world where social media is an avenue of acceptance, filters and contouring have become so popular. But what happens when you peel all those layers?

I was in shock to know that a law has not been passed since 1938 to regulate the ingredients used in personal care products. Which is what I love most about Beauty Counter, not only are they making good products but they are fighting to make these much needed changes.
Personal Favorites
Countercontrol Clear Pore Cleanser: This daily exfoliating cleanser for oily and blemish-prone skin effectively removes oil, makeup, and other impurities without harsh surfactants that can strip skin of moisture. The formula, featuring SkinBalance Complex and aloe vera, helps purify pores and soothe while jojoba beads gently slough away dead skin cells. * By the second day I already noticed a change in my skin. It felt clean but not dried out or irritated.

* This lotion actually helped control my oily but sensitive skin. Usually I can never have both, I either end up with super dry skin which dry patches or my skin gets oily within an hour of me using the product. It also helped with my redness, controlling it constantly.
Cleansing Balm: This multi-tasking balm is brimming with uses and benefits. It's a nourishing daily cleanser, a melting makeup-removing balm, and a deeply replenishing overnight mask. * This literally is the multi-tasking balm. I would use it daily to remove makeup and then leave a thin layer on my skin as an overnight mask. I would wake up feeling refreshed and ready to use the next product on my list.
Dew Skin Moisturizing Coverage: This benefit-packed tinted moisturizer delivers lightweight hydration, a hint of sheer coverage, SPF 20 protection, and a luminous dewy glow. * I love tinted moisturizers because they have SPF in them and with my fair skin it is a must. Problem? The ones I've tried in the past leave my skin feeling oily and heavy. This has become my daily must have especially those days where I spend time with my little one outside.
