Best Places in Georgia to Visit with Kids

This week the girls kick off their spring break and since we aren't going out of town, I decided to share a few of my favorite staycation spots for locals, as well as, must-see destinations for anyone planning to visit from out of town.

Southern Belle Farms

First up is a family favorite, Southern Belle Farms! Officially opening back up to the public on April 1st, this family-owned farm will have its market open (with delicious farm-fresh goodies) + outdoor activities from 10 am - 5 pm that the kiddos will love.

Blue Ridge Mountains

Enjoy some fresh mountain air and visit Blue Ridge, GA. Our girls absolutely love strolling through their downtown, as well participating in any of these kid-friendly, activities. But don't miss the amazing photo opportunities as you drive through and make sure to pay a visit to Mercier Orchards. They have plenty of fresh goodies you won't want to miss.

Downtown Atlanta

Stay in the city and explore all the fun that the ATL has to offer. From visiting the new shark exhibit at the Georgia Aquarium to learning all about Coca-Cola at the World of Coke, there are so many fun things to do. Best of all Atlanta is also known for its fun spots like Ponce City Market, Atlanta Beltline, Piedmont Park, Centennial Park, Atlanta Children's Museum, and Zoo Atlanta that locals love to frequent this time of year. Did I mention that the tulips are now in bloom at the Botanical Gardens?!

Truist Park

Home to the 2021 World Series Champs, Atlanta Braves, Truist Park is a fun venue to play, dine, and shop, as well as stay. The girls love visiting the park and running along the green as well as enjoying the fun activities that The Battery has planned throughout the week.

Savannah + Hilton Head

Looking for some beach time? Take a trip east and enjoy the beaches at Hilton Head, Tybee Island or visit historic Savannah, Ga. If you're visiting Savannah, you'll have to visit the famous bench from the Forest Gump film, stroll along the waterfront and dine, shop all bull street, take a trolly ride, enjoy a ghost tour (yes, its one of the most haunted cities in the US) visit Forsyth Park and try the famous Leopold's Ice Cream.

In addition to these fun spots above, I also recommend visiting these locations while you're in town: Six Flags, Six Flags Water Park, Helen GA, Chattahoochee River tubing, Lake Lanier Margaritaville, and Great Wolf Lodge Georgia.
