Juggling Two with Solly Baby
Welcoming Carolina into our family dynamic was not what I had thought it would be. Don't be scared, but I am being very honest. Becoming a mom of two was something I always wanted, but when I arrived home from the hospital and REALLY realized what it meant to be a mom of a toddler and a newborn I cried...A LOT. I absolutely love my girls, but it was the realization that things would change and that they would change quickly, which put me on an emotional rollacoaster. So, I decided I needed to use all my resources and figure out a plan that would work for me.
One of the things I knew I needed to do was figure out how I could still bond and meet the needs of my newborn, but not completely neglect my toddler. That's where, as funny as it may seem, Solly Baby came in. I needed something that could allow me to be in the same place with two kids at the same time and their wrap was perfect.
I had always been a fan of the brand and what they represented, so when they sent me and Krystal a wrap for our second babies, I was over the moon. Here is a link to my wrap - https://shop.sollybaby.com/collections/wraps/products/orion. I am so thankful for this product! Now, I can wear the baby, play with my toddler and not feel guilty that I am with one more than the other.
Also, as a mom for the second time, you are more aware of what you really need for the baby. But you don't have as much time to sit and read reviews or search for multiple brands. So, it was great to see that Solly Baby also shares why they are different.
Another reason why a baby wrap was so important for me this time around, was that I realized all of the great qualities it provided. Not only did it help give me mobility when I needed to multi-task, but it also gave me the chance to bond with the baby. An article from Mother.ly highlights the 10 ways babywearing benefits both mothers and babies. Below is their quick list, but you can read the complete article by clicking here.
1. It's great for traveling with your baby.
2. Out of germs way, as it keeps baby protected and away from people wanting to touch the baby!
3. It soothes the baby.
4. Promotes cognitive and social development.
5. It's good for your baby's overall health and well-being.
6. It allows you to nurse discreetly.

8. It allows you to bond with your baby.
9. Research shows it can decrease the risk of postpartum depression.
