Nashville Tips For Your Next Trip

This month we decided to take an "adult-only" trip to Nashville Tennesee and it was amazing! We've visited the Music City with kids and now without, so I decided it would be fun to share our favorite spots and tips you can enjoy when you visit.

Food is a big thing for my husband and I, especially when we were visiting a new city. We are always looking for new places to try as well as local gems that you can only enjoy when visiting that specific spot. So, I've rounded up a quick list of my top 5 restaurants for your visit with kids and without. See below.

Adult only dining favs:

  1. Josephine's on 12th

  2. The Hampton Social

  3. Biscuit Love

  4. Frothy Monkey

  5. Lockeland Table

Dining with the kids:

  1. Milk and Honey

  2. Pastaria

  3. Assembly Food Hall

  4. Aquarium Restaurant

  5. Five Daughters Bakery

As you may already know, Nashville is known as the Music City, so no matter where you go, there is always music playing. One of the main reasons we went to Nashville this month was to attend an amazing concert with one of my husband's favorite artists and the Nashville Symphony at Ascend Amphitheatre. Here you can find a list of their upcoming concerts + I am sharing my top 5 must see's in Nashville for adults and kids alike.

Top 5 Must See's for Adults

  1. Downtown "Historic" Nashville

  2. Fifth and Broadway

  3. The Gulch Nashville

  4. Nashville Pedal Tavern or Party Tractor

  5. Jack Daniel's Distillery Bus Tour

Top 5 Must See's for Families

  1. Country Music Hall of Fame

  2. Water Experience at Gaylord Opryland

  3. World's Greatest Wax Museum

  4. Tennesee Aquarium

  5. Nashville Zoo

Lastly, one of my favorite thing to do in Nashville, with or without kids, is visiting their local murals. They have some of the most amazing works of art available for you for FREE to just snap a photo of. Here's a list you'll definitely want to save for the next time you visit.

My Top 3 Murals

  1. "It's Gonna Be O.K." Mural

  2. “What Lifts You - Wings” Mural

  3. “I Believe in Nashville - 12South” Mural

When it comes to hotels, if you're planning on staying with the family, I recommend booking at the Gaylord Opryland. It offers a ton of amenities for kids and adults alike. Plus, it's not too far away from the city's downtown. When it comes to an adult's only trip I would recommend The W, in the Gulch, or the Renaissance in the heart of Downtown Nashville. Its close to some amazing shopping and nightlife.
