Strawberry Picking Near You

Looking for a fun activity to do with the family? Try strawberry picking! Each year on May 20th, it's officially known as National Pick Strawberries Day.

This fun holiday encourages everyone to get out and enjoy picking delicious strawberries at their local farms or u-pick locations. So, we decided to try it out for ourselves and take the girls to Southern Belle Farm, one of our favs, to pick some delicious strawberries.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when you go pick :

  1. Wear clothing you won't mind getting dirty.

  2. Know that your kids may just try to eat the strawberries on-site, so talk to them before if you don't want them doing that (as you can see Caro didn't get the memo lol)!

  3. Make sure to call ahead to check and see if strawberries are available to pick. Some locations run out quickly but tend to have pre-picked strawberries available.

  4. Don't forget to stop in and check out their markets for seasonal treats, like strawberry slushies, ice cream, pound cake, etc.

  5. Take photos before, during and after you start picking, they make for some great memories!
